Brighid Greene is an NY based artist with a background in dance and an affinity for film. These interests align as a performer currently with Katie Rose McLaughlin and ANIMALS Performance Group and as an independent filmmaker, programmer, and producer. For six years she worked with Dance Films Association as a lead organizer of the Dance on Camera Festival with the Film Society of Lincoln Center. In addition, she screens and programs for festivals like the Tribeca Film Festival and Cucalorus Film Festival, recently curated a screening for the Movement Research Fall Festival, and is on the advisory board for LA Dance Film Festival. She works with filmmakers Lily Baldwin and Yara Travieso and has presented work with and teaches Super 8 classes for the analog film organization Mono No Aware.
She was a long time cast member in the critically acclaimed immersive theater show Then She Fell by Third Rail Projects and has worked with directors Katherine Brook and Joshua William Gelb and visual artists Liz Glynn and Ryan Frank. She has an ongoing creative somatic practice with Cori Olinghouse and makes work under the moniker Tectonic Tonia.
Brighid championed for dance by serving on the Dance NYC Junior Committee from 2011- 2015 and made her way from California to New York to attend Tisch School of the Arts where she graduated with a BFA in dance, a double major in Religious Studies, and as recipient of the J.S. Seidman Award.
